Join award-winning theatre designer Simon Higlettfor an exclusive, Design for Theatre, workshop. With a celebrated career spanning some of the UK’s most prestigious stages, Simon brings a wealth of experience in creating visually stunning, imaginative worlds for theatre. In this session, Simon will discuss pathways into the design and technical side of theatre, share highlights from his remarkable 40-year career, and offer insights into the current trends and opportunities in the industry.

Simon trained at Wimbledon School of Art, earning a BA in Theatre Design, followed by an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art. An award-winning designer, Simon has worked extensively in theatre and opera across the globe, earning recognition for his exceptional work. His portfolio includes acclaimed productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and CFT, where his inventive designs have captivated audiences and critics alike.

The winners of the set design and script writing competitions will be announced between 2.45pm and 3.00pm.
