Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England

Fri 26 – Sat 27 Sep

About Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England

Football. It's what defined my happiness. It's what filled my soul with joy and occasionally... despair.

Billy and his best mate Adam are die-hard football fans. It's their love, it's their life, it's their religion. When they bump into a new group of mates down the pub, they start to take their support one step further and their lives begin to change forever.

Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England is an award-winning, bold, hilarious, and deep exploration of identity, belonging, and the lengths we go to for love, acceptance, and a sense of purpose. Set against the backdrop of football fandom and English culture, this fictional one-person show takes the audience on a riotous journey through the protagonist's life, as he recounts the absurd yet poignant events that led him to the infamous moment of sticking a flare up his arse in a wild act of loyalty and rebellion.
